COBRAVISION SHORT FILM COMPETITIONFor two year's CobraVision has had the pleasure of screening hundreds of high-quality 10 x 5 second films before and after the advert breaks during the movies on itv2, itv3 and itv4. From 1st May 2007, the 5 second slots will be replaced with a 50 second film before the movies on itv4, providing filmmakers with a more substantial and uncut opportunity to get their films seen by a national audience. As a growing channel which shows 'movies that go beyond the mainstream', itv4 is a natural choice for CobraVision.
Cobra Beer's sponsorship of the movies on itv's digital channels provides big opportunities on the small screen for experienced and first time filmmakers alike. CobraVision offers high-value prizes on a monthly and yearly basis. Prizes include film-making software for monthly winners and every year at the CobraVision Awards a cash prize fund of over £10,000 is handed out to the best films.
To celebrate the new format Cobravision are giving away a Playstation 3 to the best film received before 15th April 2007.
CobraVision is helped considerably by the support it has within the British film industry and films are judged by a panel of leading figures from the Film London, National Film and Television School and leading independent film community Shooting People among others. CobraVision continues to work closely with film festivals all over the country including Edinburgh, Leeds, Bristol Brief Encounters and Raindance to name just a few.
