The Metropolitan Film School is London's leading provider of practical filmmaking courses, based at Ealing Studios. We deliver a full range of full and part-time programmes, all taught by industry professionals.

BA Filmmaking is a brand new course beginning in September 2007. Developed in partnership with the National Film and Television School and accredited by Thames Valley University, the course offers the most highly practical route to studying the craft of filmmaking in the UK.

One-Year Documentary Filmmaking, which begins on 30th April 2007, is divided into three terms and provides students with a thorough grounding in all aspects of documentary filmmaking. By the end of the programme students will have researched, shot and edited two short film projects, participated in numerous shooting exercises and expanded their CV by working on other students' shoots.

***NEW***Part-Time Editing gives students who don't have the time to take the full time Three-Week Editing course the chance to hone their editing skills in a part-time version. Students will cover all the same content from the full-time course by studying two evenings per week for 14 weeks, starting on 25th April 2007. This course is also Apple®-accredited and students will have the chance to sit an exam to become an Apple®-Certified user of Final Cut Pro HD®

Part-Time Producing runs two-evenings a week for 14 weeks beginning on 5th February 2007. It aims to teach students how films are created, financed and sold and is taught by industry professionals who have recently produced features themselves.

Acting for Film, which can be taken in either a full-time intensive version from 19th March 2007 or in a part-time format over 14 weeks starting on 25th April 2007, is taught by an acting tutor and a Director and students will learn, amongst other things, how to interpret and find subtext in a script and how to build a strong relationship with Directors and Cinematographers you work with.

Call our Enrolment Advisers on 0845 658 4400 (UK only) or +44 (0)20 8280 9119 if you'd like more information on any of our part-time courses.
